I didn’t get into running until August of 2016. At first I questioned my decision to join the XC team but it quickly became evident to me that it was meant for me. I had a pretty average freshman season in XC, but after training over winter, I was really happy with my results on the track. Sophomore cross country season was nothing short of a special experience, we won state, broke many course records, and ended up 9th in the country at the Nike Cross Nationals meet. Individually, I got a spot on MileSplit’s Sophomore All-California First Team, which was serves as a huge motivator for the next coming years. I’m really looking forward to growing with this sport and seeing where I end up. I try to be as much of a role model Tom the younger guys as i can, whether that is pre-race composure, or just modeling stretch. I really would want to compete in college somewhere I really like academically and athletically. I look forward to helping bring more state titles to Saint Francis and even better performances at NXN (Nike Cross Nationals).
