My name is Reno Vasquez, I'm currently a junior attending Murrieta Mesa High School. After competing in my first season of track and setting personal records, I am very excited of what my future may unfold. The field events I competed in were the long jump, triple jump and my favorite... the high jump. I finished third in both the long and high jump as well as placed second in the triple jump in a very tough Southwestern league Finals. I would have to admit that advancing to C.I.F prelims in all 3 of my events was the biggest accomplishment of my young career. I would love to continue improving and aspire to competing at the college level. I am self motivated, hard working and very determined. My goal is to continue learning proper jumping techniques, improve my form and be the athlete that betters himself each day personally and within my sport. I would be a great fit for your program because I have a positive attitude and I am dedicated to both myself, my sport and my studies. I have a will to win, to be part of a team and to not be afraid to fail, for in my failure I can only learn.
