Adrian Valdez '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a passionate, talented hard-worker. I carry toughness, optimism, determination, faith, hope and drive. Many other great  runners/students may carry these traits but I feel as if I am one in a million and my traits outshine anybody else’s, even if we have the same. I know my self-worth and am humble. I would rather lift somebody else up to be just as good or be better than me or anyone they want to do better than. I am coachable and love to compromise. I want to succeed not just in running but in life as well. I want to be the greatest in anything I set my mind to. People may think it is impossible but I do not agree. I want to set an example for the future generations and have my story inspire a variety of different people. I’m rare and want my rarity to be passed down to the right program/person. My work ethic doesn’t just revolve around athletics but as well in the real world. I do a lot of outside activities and continue to do those extracurriculars while following up with my sports. I’ve been through a lot worse than people could imagine and am still standing. All that negativity drove me have goals and dreams. I want to prove a lot of people wrong and I want to make a lot of people proud. I do this not only for myself but my city, friends and family.
