Track & Field is a unique sport, different from most. Unlike other sports, you can’t hide on the track or blame a poor performance on someone else. You are responsible for your performance. What you put into practice everyday is what you get out. This is the rule that I train by. Everyday I focus on my form, my breathing, and breaking through that mental wall during workouts. As my coach says, “Every workout is more money in the bank“.
I started Track & Field in 6th grade as a sprinter. Now I run the 400m & 800m and practice with the distance crew. I would consider myself a very versatile runner. I‘m able to compete with speeds of fellow sprinters on my team and also stay in the front of the pack in distance workouts. I have set big goals for myself this season and will try my absolute hardest to hit those.
