I have a strong belief that through my parents teaching and guidance, I have become a strong-minded young man. My parents taught me to be an analytical person rather than a problem contributor. I am a positive thinker and an upbeat young man. I was introduced to Cross Country in my first year of high school playing soccer. My soccer coach had us condition with Cross Country and that is how I became interested in the sport. Being a three-sport athlete, I have no doubt that my unique character of being open-minded and willing to try new things to better myself, along with others, will make me an asset to team growth.
To become a leader and to make an impact takes hard work and determination. Through my JROTC leadership classes, I have learned that as long as I keep putting one foot in front of the other, I will keep moving in the right direction and become a mentor along the way. My goal for high school is to make straight A’s and to learn something new every day. In college, my goal is to perfect what I learned in high school and be better than I was yesterday. What I want to get out of college is the ability and courage to take on challenges with confidence. I want college to open more opportunities. For any of that to happen, I need strong and supportive professors that I can rely on for guidance as my parents have done.
