- From a young age, a motto my father always stress to me, “Hard work pays off” no matter what I was trying to
- accomplish in life. I knew that I wanted to be a track athlete when I entered the 7th grade. I was inspired by my
- father; just to say, he was an elite track athlete both in middle school and high school. I know that if I get the
- opportunity to compete in college, that would be a life- changing experience for me.
Through the years of being a track athlete, I have learned to put in the hard work, be competitive, and maintain the mental toughness to perform at my best levels. I show up at practice every day ready to do whatever it takes for me to get better and better. I am a team leader and I always try to lead by example; and, at the same time, I’m encouraging my teammates as well.
In the classroom I study hard and I’ve maintained an “A” yearly GPA. I am a Honor Society Inductee, a Honorable Mention for the “Georgia Laws of Life Essay” contest, and a CATS Gold Card Recipient, an award given to students with no more than two absences and no less than a 90% average in a semester year.
I want to attend college to get an opportunity to drive myself harder inside as well as outside the classroom. I know that life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than you are to your comfort zone I hope to be a great role model for many others on my level.
