Joe Felix '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe Felix. I am a 6'0" 210lb shot put and discus thrower.  During my freshman year of high school, I was able to letter and I made great gains in both of my throws. During my sophomore and junior years I have continued to make gains all while transforming my body.  I went from weighing 276lbs my sophomore year to 197lbs the start of my junior year.  I am continuing to find my stride at this new weight.  I am extremely committed to my sport, as I have continued training year round.  While athletics has always been important to me, I was raised by my parent to recognize that academics comes first. I am enrolled in the Academy of Science, Research, and Medicine located at Paulding County High School, which is STEM certified. I currently have a 3.96 raw GPA and a 4.0 weighted GPA. I am also involved in my school, as I am a member of the Science National Honor Society, the Honor society,  BETA club, and HOSA. I believe that my combined athletic ability and academic achievements would make me an excellent addition to a college track team. Thank you for your consideration.
