Personal Statement

My name is Jabrelle Crawford. I am a student athlete currently attending Putnam County High School. I am 6'1 and 189 lbs.During the track season of 2010 I competed in region 4AA and placed first in the 800 meter dash and the 1600 run. I had recieved an award for High Point Competitor for recieving the most points in that track meet. I went to state that year and became state champion in the 800 meters. During the track season of 2011 I competed in the region 4AA competition and placed first in 3 different events which included: 800 meter dash, 400 meter dash, and the 1600 meter relay. I also competed in the Georgia Olympics and placed 8th in the 1600 meter run with a 4:42, and defended my title in the 800 meter dash with a 1:55. That summer I joined an AAU Team, the Quad City Striders, and traveled to New Orleans for the Junior Olympics. Our 4x800 relay team placed 1st and won a national championship. I've just started competing in the 400 meter dash in the year 2012 and my PR so far is a 47.23. Also in 2012 I won the 400 meter dash, the 800 meter dash, and the 4x400 meter relay in 2012. I am a motivated athlete who has the desire to not only succeed, but excel past my limitations to become the best that I can be. I can be a great leader and am an excellent team member. I work hard in and outside of practice to increase my abilities and performance. I have amazing potential. One day I wish to continue running track at the college level and to compete with the best athletes in the world. I would like to attend a school in the Southeastern region of the United States So that I could remain close to my home. I also want to attend a school in a large populated area. I want to attend a university with a big campus that is possibly division 1. I would like to major in athletic training. I would really like to continue my track and field sport as long as possible and to be able to compete and become one of the best in the country
