About me/Senior Year:
As the clock ticks, senioritis starts to settle in, creating an unkempt fire in my heart that says..."this is what I have been waiting on for three long years." Between working jobs, moving, school work, and Track I am honestly able to say that Coach Prices 400 workouts aren't as scary as the other athletes make them out to be, even if they helped take me from 12.10 to 10.71 in the course of a year (I'm serious as a heart attack) . If you know about coach price or the basis of 400m speed endurance workout, you understand that I drive a hard bargain, but hear me out. That year I learned about something more important than work ethic... I learned about work efficiency and character. My sophomore year I could've swore that I outworked every man on the planet but every man on the planet couldn't explain why I ran a 12.12 or 12.10. You know as well as I do that I had no business crossing the finish line with a steaming hot 12.12 on the clock. I was forced to take a look back on my season. I realized that my character was seriously being damaged as a result of my intense drive to reach my goals, I was so mentally consumed that I could not think with common sense. I was delusional for thinking I could recover with 5 hours of sleep after a full day of school and a 3 to 11pm shift. Through my sophomore season, I learned the importance of character, not just within athletics but within life itself. I also learned that you have to work smarter and not just harder in order to perfect a skill. (Especially a coach price workout) :)
