This is my junior year in high school and i really started taking sports seriously my freshman year. Freshman year i played receiver and corner for my high school football team. As a freshman i really didn't have a strong role like a captain or a starter. But because of my work ethic i gained a starting spot on defense. later on in my freshman year i joined track. Me being a freshman i was on Junior Varsity team and ran the sprint events such as the 4x100, 4x200, and the 4x400. The coaches realized that i had the drive to compete so i moved to varsity and ran the same events. then i transferred schools. I couldn't compete in football my sophomore year because of the schools being in the same conference and the IHSA rule. So i ran track here at my current high school. Here at he school it was all varsity so i ran individual races because it was tough competition here. i ran the 1600m, 400m, and the 4x400m race. Now for my junior year I was able to play football again and competed here. I moved to strong safety and slot receiver. Once our football season ended now i'm running track again. What makes me a good candidate for any college team is that i'm am a hard working athlete who shows up not to look cute and pretty but to compete at the highest level i can. What makes me different is how my leadership shows apart from other people. I am often called the assistant coach because i tell people how the can get better at track, improve on their races, forms, and tactics for meet day. The important thing is academics. I am a student who excels in class and on the track both mentally and physically.
