Throughout my three years of training and competing with York High School with the greatest group of guys, I’ve learned that everyone has their moments and sometimes they don’t. Last year a lot of the kids on the team got injured and when we could run, we all ran our hearts out cause we want to build up to that state title. In the end we didn’t make it to a state title but we all lifted each other up in our spirits. We were all pretty bummed that a lot of the events didn’t qualify but through the support of everyone on the team (coaches and teammates) everyone is ready for this season. Last year I was injured yet was still running at the same time trying to get the relays medals so I had to find that balance of resting and competing. Prevention work outs and stretches are key so my goal is to keep taking precaution and to stay healthy to reach my goal pr’s in the season. I want an 10.5 in the 100 and a 22.7 in the 200 so there’s a lot of work to be done. For my academics I want to maintain a 3.5 gpa out of a 4.0 and work in my school’s autos department to get me further knowledge in that area of work. There’s a lot of work to be done so I’m going to hit the ground running.
