Christopher Renda Jr. '24 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to attending college and majoring in Engineering, so I want to attend a college that will challenge me in this field and help me prepare for my career. I take my studies very seriously and currently have a GPA of 4.0. I have taken several AP courses and will continue to do so going forward until I graduate. These courses challenge me and I enjoy and welcome that. 

I also would like to participate in Track as I have done so for the past 5+ years and enjoy the challenge and competitive nature of the sport. I participate in the 100m, 4x100m, 200m, 4x200m and have also done the 400m. I enjoy both the individual and team events as they pose their own unique opportunities. I also attend TaeKwonDo/HapKiDo and am a 3rd degree black belt from the World TaeKwonDo Federation, meaning that if I wanted to I could open my own Dojo and be a TaeKwonDo Master (instructor). Tae Kwon Do has provided me with confidence, a sense of teamwork, discipline and stamina, all of which I carry over into daily life as well as track. 

My parents are both in the Information Technology field, my father works in Cyber Security and my mother is a Director of Information Technology. They also both participated in sports in the past, my father in Baseball and mother in Track and Field. So I feel that I have the ability to be successful in both my academic and athletic endeavors.
