In our area we have not been able to find anyone to train Alex. No one really knows about high jump. He did go to a one day clinic at SIU in Carbondale IL in January and was informed of a college track meet the following weekend that he entered unattached. He came in 2nd with a jump of 6'8 1/4". The jump coach from Rend Lake College (no longer with the track program) had given him some pointers when he had seen him jump but Alex really needs someone to work with him. He is just doing what comes natural and feels he could improve if he had better technique. We are looking into sending him to camp this summer.
