Personal Statement
Growing up, I always wanted to compete in a sport at the highest level. I started playing basketball at 10 years old but dropped it for Track and Field when I got to high school, because I felt I was doing better in it. From watching college athletes to professionals on TV it motivated me to build on myself to be better, and maybe become that person on TV that kids look up to in sport.
I understand that, to even consider going to College for a sport you are going to need a tough state of mind that doesn’t give up when faced with adversity and being able to cooperate with others, even if they are not on the same page as yourself to be successful. I love being pushed to my limit, knowing that I’m one step closer to my goal of being the best of the best. I came to find that I was good in Triple Jump, I work hard to better myself every chance I get. The most rewarding thing about Track for me is, my teammates always believe me, and my coaches are always encouraging me to push myself to do better every day. I believe I have potential to be the best in Triple Jump if I’m given the opportunity.
In the classroom, I apply myself to my studies. I’m a true believer that school comes first and foremost before anything else, so I study hard to get great grades and I also take honor classes I know I’m capable of doing great in. I enjoy learning new materials especially in my Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Precalculus class.
I want to attend a College where I can get a good higher education and compete in Track at a highest level possible. I’m open to all offers and ultimately want to get into a College that can provide my academic and sport needs and make my family proud in the process.
I’m looking forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
