I was new to the sport of pole vaulting my freshman year. My junior high coach and some friends of mine introduced me. I've come a long way since then. My PR ended with 10' my freshman year and has jumped 4.5' since then.
I wouldn't be who I am and wouldn't accomplished as much today without the help of my great coaches. Ever since I started vaulting, I knew it was my sport because in my head I'm not competing against everyone. I compete against myself for a better bar. I know what its like to be on the low end of competition so I try to help everybody out as much as possible whether that means telling somebody where their step is or letting them borrow one of my poles. Some of my best friends have been made through the sport. My dream is to continue to get better and continue to have fun and meet more awesome people.
