Personal Statement

I hope to perform as well in collegiate athletics as I have in high school athletics.  It was always my dream to go the Olympics, but as I grew up, I realized that dream was a bit far-fetched. However, as I continue to improve, I hope that I can achieve some higher level of athletics and perform to my highest potential. What makes me a good candidate for a team is the fact that I'm well-rounded as an athlete. I've been doing the hurdles events the longest and I like them the most, but I have also performed well in the 400m, Long Jump, and High Jump.

What makes me different from other athletes is the fact that if I haven't done it yet, I keep working until I have. I've never been one to give up, no matter what it is I'm doing. I have progressed very well and very consistently in the past three years. I also use this determination in the classroom, as I am number 1 in my class and I continue to take classes that challenge me intellectually.  Education has always been important to me, so I take the time necessary to learn the material the best I can. I hope to be able to compete at the university level while also obtaining a quality education.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
