My name is Andrew Roman and I'm a senior at Crown Point High School. I have played multiple sports since I was young and understand the important role discipline and consistency plays in success.
I was introduced to pole vaulting in first grade. After years of working on method and form, it became something I love doing. There is no sport like it and I love the challenge it presents. Pole vaulting continuously pushes you to achieve more, inch by inch. It has taught me persistence, patience, and that I WILL get up every time I fall.
I use that same mental stength to guide in life and academics. I volunteer coaching younger sports, offer support in a special needs class, and routinely help elderly neighbors with weekly yard work.
My goal is to attend a university that will assist me in pursuing studies in the technology field, while offering an opportunity to grow and win through a great Track and Field program.
