Running is more than just a sport. My current coach always said that "running is a lifestyle". I didn't understand this then, I do now. I have allocated so much time this summer to training, but also how to train smart while still having fun. I recently signed up for the Waugoshance Trail Marathon in Emmet County, Michigan. Although my training has been directed toward performing in the 5k and this marathon may not completely fit in as a smart way to train, I wanted to do it. Later this summer I plan on training in Flag Staff, Arizona with a few running friends as well. Nonetheless, running has not only become competitive to me, but also a lifestyle.
