Personal Statement

I'm looking for a school where I can thrive athletically with healthy competition and new opportunities. However, I want to go to a school that challenges me academically as well so that I can obtain the greatest chance of getting into the Vet School of my choice after finishing my undergraduate program. I've wanted to be a veterinarian since I was quite young, probably around 6 or 7, and its not a goal or dream that I'm willing to give up. I have the international experience and unique outlooks on different situations and could share these with the community academically, socially and athletically.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • IASAS 2016
  • 4/07/16 to 4/10/16
  • Ran the 100m, 200m prelims with times of 11.32 and 22.87 (FAT) before a knee injury (hyperextension, partially torn patellar tendon & quadriceps tendon, followed by patellar tendonitis) didn't allow me to compete in the finals of these events. I sustained this injury during the Long Jump event which I won with a jump of 6.11m (didn't complete my last 3 jumps due to the injury sustained on jump 3). I was the starter of our 4x100 team which placed 1st at the meet. Also missed the 4x400m due to injury.
  • Camp/Event
  • Junior National Championships (U-18)
  • 3/19/16 to 3/20/16
  • Ran the 100m and 200m while nursing a tight hamstring that hampered my performance significantly through both qualifying and finals. Due to this I feel as though I slightly underachieved at the meet but injuries are uncontrollable. 100m - 11.47... 200m - 22.93 (FAT)
