I am currently a senior at Annapolis Area Christian School located in Severn Maryland. I am a dedicated long-distance runner and the captain of my school’s varsity Cross Country team and Captain of the Track team. My hope is to participate in Cross Country and Track in college. I hope to become a Physical Therapist or Sports Trainer. I run all year long, participating in my local Park Runs and races with the Annapolis Striders. Running makes me feel alive and strong. I love the running community and being outside in nature. I believe running is as much mental as it is physical. The routines of my life are focused on being the best runner I can be. This means I eat, sleep, and play in a way that enhances my running. Arthur Blank summed up my view of running when he said “I run because it’s so symbolic of life. You have to drive yourself to overcome the obstacles. You might feel that you can’t. But then you find your inner strength, and realize you’re capable of so much more than you thought.” I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
