Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Luke Freimanis and I am currently a Senior at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland. I believe that a strong athlete prioritizes being part of a team as well as setting individual goals. Throughout my high school career, I have continuously set goals for academics, sports and community service to help me understand my strengths and areas of improvement. I am an Eagle Scout and I believe this foundation has also contributed to my values of teamwork and citizenship.

In my current track career, I am focusing on the hurdles, pole vault, and high jump. Although I would love to compete at the highest level possible, I am also committed to the academic side of my future. My cumulative GPA is 4.77, and I am enrolled in both advanced and AP classes. My intended majors are focused on Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Development. I have developed a software application that is currently published and live in Google Play and the Apple store called "Sky High- High Jump" which was inspired by my personal experiences with the high jump.

Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to have the opportunity to get in touch with you soon.

Luke Freimanis

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
