I started running track in 2022 after my soccer season. I didn’t think much of it because I was mainly doing it so I could have more stamina. I wanted to do longer distances because my speed wasn’t as good as my endurance. I then fell in love with running. I didn’t want to stop because I could feel myself improving after every workout. I made so many friends along the way that have pushed me to be better each and every day. I have just started track and I feel as if I’ve been doing it all my life. I still have a lot to learn but I’m curious to see how much farther I can go in my career.
I have very good speed and stamina. I’m very coachable, here to learn and get better. If my teammates are ever down I encourage them. I‘m also working on my strength/core by hitting the gym and doing a lot of reps but at light weights.
In school, I'm working hard to maintain a 3.0 to a 3.5 this year. I go to my teachers if I don’t understand the homework assignments and in my free periods, I get my homework done and look at film/ and strategies that I can use while running different races.
I want to go to a college that fits me. I’m determined to work hard on the track and off the track. I want to be able to work hard with my peers. I hope to make my family and friends proud.
