Jeremiah Dailey '26 Recruiting Profile

I’ve only been doing track and field for a little over a year, but it feels like I’ve been doing it forever. From the very first throw, I knew this would be more than “just another sport.” It has quickly become my passion. I spend countless hours trying to perfect my technique, pushing myself to be better and anticipating the next time I get to be in the “circle”! While this is not the first sport I’ve participated in, it is the one that has taught me the most about myself, perseverance and teamwork. In my sophomore year (first year competing), I was county champion for outdoor in discus with 133 and shot-put with 40’3”. I placed 4th place in discus and 3rd in shot-put for regionals 2024. In the 2025 winter season while being team captain and maintaining a 3.3 GPA, I made it to states and placed 7th in shot-put with 45’5”.  As the season has progressed, so have my skills. In the spring 2025 season I placed 2nd in discus and 3rd in shot-put in counties. I am currently 1st in my region (3A North) with a PR of 149 for discus and 46’1” for shot-put. I will be heading to regionals next week and am expecting to qualify for states later this month! 

Outside of the field, these sports have instilled in me a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for the power of teamwork. I believe my dedication, positive attitude and team spirit would make me a valuable asset to any program that will have me! I’m looking forward to pushing myself to new heights, joining a team that supports each other and growing both on and off the field.
