I started running in the fall of 7th grade and immediately loved the sport. Despite getting injured early on, I continued to train and learned the strategy of the sport by getting splits for my teammates during every race. Once fully recovered, I was able to run my first ever race at the MA Middle School States where I placed 12th. I currently run for my school and club where I focus on the mile, 2 mile, and the cross country 5K. As a low mileage athlete, I continue to improve my times, running a 6:30 mile in 7th grade down to a 4:38 at the end of my freshman year. I listen to coaches, follow their instruction, and have learned to listen to my body so I do not push it too much and avoid injury. I am looking for a successful and well developed cross country, and track program that can help me improve in the sport of running.
