Brian Hobin '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

 My name is Brian Hobin, I am a Junior in High School and I currently attend Saint Joseph Preparatory School in Boston, MA. However, I spent my Freshman and Sophomore year at Marian High School, in Framingham, MA. Unfortunately, the school closed down at the end of my Sophomore year and I was left to find a new school. 

 I went to Framingham High School for around 2 months before a new opportunity presented itself at Saint Joseph's and in the pursuit of a challenging academic and athletic environment, I transferred schools this past fall.

 Marian High School ignited my relationship with track, it had one of the most reputable programs in the region, producing runners who would consistently set state records and compete in national events. This was primarily due to the coaching staff, who pushed me out of my comfort zone and matched my desire to always improve. 

 Through discipline, commitment, and hard work I was changed both on and off the track. I was taught to uphold the values of leadership and maturity, this was reflected when I was named as a Captain of the track team my sophomore year. I hope that through running, I can inspire others to work towards their goals while growing as a character every day.  I am aware that my current 800m time is not considered a “top time” however it is an improvement from my freshman year where my PR was 2:21. I strongly believe that if I continue to work hard every day, I will be able to help your team not only in the 800m but as a source of motivation and comradery. 

 Character is extremely important to me, I would rather run poorly and help others, than run well and only benefit myself. In this aspect I will strive to excel on whichever team, please feel free to contact me at the information provided, and thank you for looking at my profile.
