Personal Statement
My name is Nathan Levine, and I am a high jumper. I just came off an undefeated season, often beating older competition, and won the D1 State Championship for my main event. I also tried out some other events to test my versatility. I started high jumping in 7th grade for fun, but COVID-19 prevented me from having an 8th grade season. When my freshman season came along, I started off jumping 5'3. With some great coaching and hard work I managed to improve to jumping 6'3 in a span of about 6 weeks, placing 8th in the State Championship that year and earning All-State honors. The spring of my 2022 season I came in hot, jumping 6'0 my first meet but then improving to hit a massive PR of 6'8. On June 4th, I won the State Championship, being the only non-senior on the podium this year.
In my academics, I finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 4.08 and straight A's. I plan to continue to succeed in school, go to a four year college, and continue jumping for the college I attend. I appreciate you taking your time to read my statement and hope you consider me at your college.
