My name is Ethan Hamilton. I have been running since freshman year, participating in both varsity Track and varsity Cross Country. I have had the most amazing experiences competing in high school and I would like to continue that through my college career.
Throughout my running career in high school, I have learned that being a successful runner, or anything for that matter, doesn't come like candy in a Christmas stocking. You have to work tirelessly and sacrifice certain things in order to achieve success. I have been a team captain for the Cross Country and Track teams since my sophomore year, a spot usually for a senior. Good leadership is an important value that I hold. To me, leading by example is the most effective way to motivate others to work harder and receive the benefits of it.
Hard work is something that I not only exercise on the track, but in my academics as well. Working hard in the classroom and getting good marks is something that I strive for everyday. Since I am looking forward to entering into the medial field, I am challenging myself with classes that will benefit and better prepare me for pre-med and medical courses in college.
