Hello coach's, my name is Joshua Sharp-Pelto, and I attend Garden City high school in Garden City Michigan. My collegiate goals are to get a bachelor's degree in psychology and statistics. Psychology has gained my interest because I like learning about what makes people do certain things and learning more about the human body. Statistics is just something I am good with because I am very good with number's and it's just fun to me. I also want to go into Track for the 200m, 400m, or the 800m. I am a good candidate because I have true passion for running, it started when I was younger doing fun 5k color runs with my family. I continue this passion by running every day and having my families 100% support. Also, my competitiveness, I love crossing that line knowing that my competitors know I'm the one who beat them. Even in practice and in school I'm competitive but also a great teammate, if someone's form is off or if someone doesn't understand something in the classroom, I'm always there to help them. "In union there is strength." What separates me from other candidates is that I have the willingness to be coached and do the little things that I am coached to do. I am very energetic and am always excited when it comes to track. I also have a 3.9 GPA and work hard to make my goals come true. My motivation is to get to the next step and never stop running until I'm told I can't.
