I’ve been running since the 6th grade and have wanted to run D1 since that first year. I remember learning about what a varsity team was, and the feeling of competition it invoked in me. I ended up being on our middle school’s varsity team as a 6th grader after putting the work in for my spot on our state qualifying team. I’m a great candidate for any team I’m on because of my leadership skills and personality. I’ve been the leader of my team since 7th grade so I’ve had lots of experience with getting other kids excited and serious when we need to be. Also, I’m the most popular kid on my teams because of the energetic life I bring to the table with my antics at the opportune times. I’m like no other recruit in the sense that I’m always myself. When I want to do something I go do it, no matter what anybody tells me about how I could fail and what not. I’m like no other recruit because of my honed-in natural talent, right when I started running I was fast but I soon learned the extent of my ability and how to get faster and faster. Many other naturally talented runners have just started to plateau while I’ve been knowing how to get better for a long time. Also, I hate losing. If I get beaten by somebody in a race they are all I can think about. I run the next week with them always in the back of my mind and step up to the line prepared to destroy them. When I fall down, I get back up and I don’t let anybody keep me down. In my academics I’m a lot like how I run. As a freshman, I am taking 4 honors classes with no study hall, and one of those classes is a sophomore honors class. My GPA is currently a 4.35, which is one of the highest in my class. I hope this message has intrigued you enough to reach out to me as I can be a great asset to your team, and campus!
