Gavin Shelton '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin Shelton and I've been running since my freshman year of High School. Over these last few years I've fallen in love with running and I want to continue my running and academic career in college. Over the years I've worked very hard to overcome some obstacles like my late start and a serious ankle injury.  The hard work I've put help me achieve all area honors in cross and I was able to help my team make it to states in cross. The hard work I put into running also translates into the classroom. As I currently sit at a 3.64 GPA. I often try to challenge myself in the classroom by taking harder classes such as AP classes and other honors courses. I'm also a member of the National Honor Society. Overall i'm trying to find a good college that fits me and will allow me to continue my running career and challenge me in the classroom.
