Robert Dodd '26 Recruiting Profile

I started running in 7th grade with my older sister and I found that running was fun and fulfilling. I put in lots of extra work, even after a hard practice. I was able to exceed my coach's expectations. I lead my team to our school's very first trophy ever (West Ottawa Invite) and then I lead the team to the Conference trophy. My hard work enabled me to break a couple records and take me to lots of places throughout my XC/TF years. In 8th grade I got to run in Oregon at Nike Outdoor Nationals, finishing 11th in the 2 Mile. HS has been more competitive, but I still was able to set a Freshman record, I've ran V every year, went to D1 state twice, and though I struggled to improve in my Sophomore Track season & Junior XC season, I'm determined to constantly improve myself, whether it be physically or academically, and I'm looking for a high level program to run in collegiately so I can continue to grow as a runner and possibly compete at collegiate nationals. I'm hoping to find a coach that can mentor me and push me toward my goals. I love the culture on my HS team where I lift up my teammates when they struggle, and they do the same for me.
