Dear coaches,
I hope this finds you well, as soon as I put a shot and disc in my hand, I knew this is what I wanted to do in life and hopefully in collage. I've put multiple hours in and months of my life trying to get better at throwing while also trying to be academically smart. School has never been my strong point but I've made it a goal to get better at doing what's best for me in school so I can perform better out on the rings. I want to succeed and make my family proud and be the first person in my entire family to go to college for sports.
One thing that I've been told by my coaches and teammates is that I'm a natural born leader, its got to the point everyone on the team considers me and unofficial coach/captine. I've been known to take leadership rolls and be someone that you can go to for throwing advice. I've taken on a big roll this year as I have been teaching the new throwers how to throw because our coach is also a teacher and can't always be there so I decided to step in and help out a lot more taking the responsibility of and athlete and a coach.
one thing I want to do in college is get recognized and build more structure as an athlete and become more academically smart and holding myself accountable. Another thing I would like to do is to get recognized and become simipro or pro in shot put or discus.
I hope you consider my dreams and ambitions as you read I want to say good luck to the couch and there teams that read this on there season.
Ramiro L Quintanilla.
