I first started running when I was in 7th grade. I heard there was a track program at my high school, and I decided to try it. I ran shorter distances and sprints that year. The fall of my 8th grade year, I decided to try cross country. I was hooked. Seeing some of the faster athletes on the team motivated me to train for the next season. The fall of my freshman year, I cut 5 minutes from a couple of races I had ran the year before. I was awarded "Most Improved" of that year. I started working with a trainer In Febuary of 2015, and my times have improved tremendously. I have a work ethic that is hard to beat, in the classroom or on the track. I use the same mentality in running as I do for school, or anything else in life. I am also an Eagle Scout. I believe in hard work, and that success will come from it.
