Personal Statement
My name is Connor Hull, and I am a senior at Capital City High School, a public school, located in Jefferson City, Missouri. I have been running in track and field since my 6th grade year, and am interested in continuing my running career in college. My goal is to compete in Track & Field at the highest Division and most competitive schools. I also aim to graduate college with a masters in engineering. I do not know anyone who has my work ethic and determination, I will strive to be the best version of myself. My drive to improve comes from my exceptional love for the sport, and while I am always committed to giving my best, you can be assured that I will have fun while doing so.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic has lessened competitive opportunities this year, I continue to compete as often as possible. Over the past track season, I was the sprint captain, and the number one runner in the 400m and 200m varsity team. At State I placed 8th in the 400m and 7th in the 4x400m. My best times for my events are posted above and will be updated through every meet as I advance through the season.
Outside of school, I participated in scouts, earning the rank of eagle earlier this year. I am always supporting my community by working at food banks and community projects such as organizing the salvation army. In school, academically, I have enrolled in many AP classes throughout my four years, and my cumulative GPA is 3.5. I am interested in majoring in engineering and business in college. Also, I am a Eagle Scout for BSA as of this year.
I am very focused on my goals and ready for any task thrown at me. I am very competitive and thrive under pressure. I am a leader and very supportive of my other teammates. Thank you for your consideration of me becoming a member of your team. I hope to have the opportunity to get in touch with you soon.
