Baker Pashea '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Baker Pashea, and I am a junior at Saint Louis University High School, a college preparatory school, located in Saint Louis, Missouri. I have been running both track and cross country since my freshman year, and am interested in continuing my running career in college. I am an extremely hard worker, and I hold myself to high standards in training and races alike. My drive to improve comes from an unparalleled love  and enjoyment of the sport, and while I am always committed to giving my best, you can be assured that I will have fun while doing so.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic has lessened competitive opportunities this year, I continue to compete as often as possible. Over the past cross country season, I was team captain, and the number three runner on our varsity team. Our team finished second at the State Cross Country Championship race. Individually, I finished 42nd, with a time of 16:34.5, which was 5 seconds off my season best of 16:29.5. I am also a captain of the track and field team. My best performances include an 800M, finishing with a time of 1:57.92, a 1600M at 4:28.0, and a 4x400M relay split time of 50.6. 

I also excel academically, achieving an academic all-state award for my performance at the state championship race in cross country this year. My cumulative GPA is 4.12, and I have achieved a score of 30 on the ACT on my first attempt. I am enrolled in both advanced and AP classes at SLUH, and am interested in majoring in business in college.
