My track career started in 8th grade but I didn’t think about hurdling at the college level until freshman year at the state track meet. I realized I had potential when my hurdling coach told me that I was the first freshman she’s ever coached that has made it into 110MHH finals at the state meet. I am very coachable and work extremely hard in the weight room, on the track, and in the classroom. I believe I make a strong athlete because I am able to recognize my issues, flaws, and obstacles, and then I aim to polish, refine, and conquer all of them. I have had the honors--through hard work--to attend the 2017 Midland Roundtable Top Ten Invitational and both the 2016 and 2017 Class A State Meets, and achieved high levels of success, relative to my age, across all of them.
I’ve maintained high grades for my entire life but recently have had the opportunities for college level classes to push myself even further. I am very passionate about my schooling and am excited to study my major. I have aspired to enter the chemical engineering field since middle school and still am very set on the idea.
I appreciate all considerations and time taken. Thank you.
