I fell in love with Track the first time I tried it back in 5th grade. I've been blessed to have a great coach who teaches technique as the most important thing to throwing. Growing up in a small town in Nebraska has instilled a great work ethic into me. I am used to long hours of hard work. I am a 3 sport varsity athlete. I am dedicated to my family, my religion, my sport, and my education. From 5 AM to 11 AM every morning I am weight lifting, doing football drills, practicing basketball, and finally throwing. After lunch I either continue to do track workouts or go to work, depending on my schedule. I want to be the best I can possibly be. I've grown up in Norfolk hearing about Jared Schuurmans who is an Olympic Hopeful in the discus that graduated from my school. That would be my ultimate goal in track. I have been a member of the Boy Scouts of America, FBLA, DECA, National Honor Society, and have served as Class President. I intend to run for senior class president in the fall. I believe my passion for education and my desire to succeed in athletics will drive me to work towards any goals set before me.
