Personal Statement
I have always been a distance runner focused on improving my distance times. I have set personal goals and have worked hard to achieve those. I have boosted my performance during my senior year in cross country. I have reduced my PR time by over 2 minutes from last season. I have set a goal to make the state meet this season. To reach this goal I have committed myself entirely to the sport and to my academics. I push myself to exceed to reach the next level and to reach my goals. I am very competitive and I always fight for the next position. My goal going into my senior year of track is to drop my mile time to a competitive state time and to start running longer distances.
My goal for college is to obtain a degree in chemical engineering while being able to compete in Cross Country and Track. I would like to take my distance running to the next level while dropping my 5K times and exploring races of longer distances.
