Hello, my name is Jack Marchese and I am a Senior (Class of 2025) at Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Albany, New York. I am a runner on our Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Teams and was very proud to be a part of our recent Section 2 Outdoor Track Championship, our school’s first since 1994!
I currently run anchor on our 4 x 800 team and have competed in 800 m, 1600 m and 3200 m events throughout the year. I also had the opportunity to run the 4 x 800 at both the Adidas Indoor Nationals in Virginia Beach and the recent New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Philadelphia. Running has become a great passion of mine and I am strongly committed to my daily workouts, team practices and understanding the role of nutrition in my athletic performance.
Academically, I have been on First Honors throughout my time at CBA and I have a great interest in pursuing a college education focused on business/finance. I have a small investment account and have learned a lot about what drives our financial markets and what can impact a stocks performance. I am also a member of our schools JROTC program and currently hold the rank of Corporal. The majority of JROTC service hours I have earned are a result of my work at an area non-profit that provides after school programs, summer camps and meals for children in underserved communities.
