Brenden McBride '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a good candidate for your team because I am different than the average person in both academics and sports. For sports, I have always found a person to look up to that is better than me, and worked towards beating them. In my 2019-20 indoor track season, me and 3 other teammates competed by getting better times in the 4 by 200 relay. In the end, the hard work brought me from running high 23's to mid 22's. For academics, I have been on the honor roll and high honor roll for 5 straight quarters after focusing more on my schoolwork. I went from having B's to being an A+ student. This makes me different than the average person who consistently gets A's because I took the initiative to make the change in my schoolwork to do the best that I could. A goal I have is to prove to myself and others that anyone can make a complete turn-around in school and work towards a goal by changing their direction in life.
