I am going into my senior year at Arlington High School. Upon high school graduation, my primary goal is to study psychology, pre-med and eventually go to med-school to become a licensed psychiatrist. I even hope to open my own counselling business one day. Running has been such a huge part of my life throughout high school. Intense training begins in mid-July with a 7 day cross country camp which leads to the cross country season itself. I then run both Winter and Spring track at my high school. I am an experienced and dedicated runner, I would love to continue to run either cross country or track (or both) on the college level.
I feel I am a great fit for your team because I understand the concept of accountability and responsibility to both the team and to my personal standards. I compete in NYS Section I Athletics. This is the largest, and maybe most competitive section in NYS High School Sports. This experience has given me a great foundation upon which to build the next phase in my running career - college competition.
Academically I have been in the Advanced / Honors Program since eighth grade. My course of study has been challenging. I expect to have at least 15 college credits completed by the time I graduate high school. One of the greatest lessons that this challenging course of study has taught me is that I have to balance all aspects of my life in order to get everything completed at a high level.
I come from a large family in which a high level of ethics and morals are taught and expected on a daily basis. I am the oldest of 5 children and I am aware of my leadership role among my brothers and sister. I know that I am a role model and I take that very seriously.
I look forward to the opportunity to talk with coaches about my prospective fit with their programs and schools.
