Hello, my name is Daniel Hernandez. I’m a senior cross country and track runner. I run for Minisink Valley High School in Upstate New York. I’m very self disciplined and push myself to limits beyond what others say I can achieve. I work out 2-3 times a day, typically 6 days a week, and occasionally 7 days. I’m dedicated to pursuing my goal of competing at the collegiate level after high school. I have my priorities straight, which are school, and running. I try my absolute best in school and put the most effort I can in order to achieve the highest grades possible. In 2020, I was nominated by my counselor and received the Sojourner's Truth Award for citizenship. In addition, I was also given Minisink Valley’s Coach’s Award for cross country in 2021, honoring the positive and motivational environment I’ve brought to the team, as well as opposing athletes. I believe I have a lot to offer my future college team and look forward to the opportunity.
