Personal Statement

As a track athlete, my passion for the sport began at an early age. Progressing through higher levels of competition opened my eyes to the effort and dedication that the sport requires. Over the years I have developed a strong work ethic that has allowed me to do my best both on and off the track.  Having competed in several regional and national meets in my first two years of high school and at the beginning of my junior year, I have managed to reach the status of top ten nationally in the 500m and 600m. These experiences have taught me the vitality of perseverance, discipline, and team spirit. These are qualities that I feel are integral parts of my character. Seeking the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, I feel that I have the dedication and drive to excel in such an environment. Reaching the level of college athletics will certainly take hard work and sacrifice, and I am willing to do all that I can to satisfy the demands of any collegiate program. Being part of a team that shares my passion for the sport and can challenge me to reach my full potential is truly exciting, and I look forward to any opportunities that may come my way.  Below are my personal best times:

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
