I aspire to get accepted into an Ivy League school and pursue a Master's in Biochemistry; I also would like to make a breakthrough that is beneficial to the human population as a whole. During sophomore year, I tried out for tennis as my first school sport, but sadly I did not make the cut. Track and Field was the only other sport that I was slightly interested in; however, track did not have tryouts so I was automatically a part of the team. As the season progressed, I slowly started to enjoy running, achieving a new personal record, and generally pushed myself to break my limits. Eventually, track came to an end and the summer commenced; I tried to run every day, which was a big goal for me, but in the end, I ran a few times a week. Running in the summer helped me stay fit and improve my form, breathing, and pace; when I heard about cross country, I instantly decided that I wanted to partake in it because it was more suited for my running style than track. Currently, the cross country season is in full swing and I am loving it, definitely looking forward to breaking new barriers.
Academically, I am enrolled in all AP classes and am skilled in biology, mathematics, and history; English, particularly grammar, would be considered my weakest area, but I have improved tremendously in English over my sophomore year and am working on increasing my grammar proficiency. Even though English is my weakest subject, I consistently maintain A's and comprehend the lessons put forth.
