Hello, my name is Jason Linch and this is my personal statement. I’m 18 years old and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. My goal ever since I started running was to go D1 and compete on a collegiate level. I am excited and honored to join the Queens University team starting in Fall 2024. I hope to continue running at a professional level, after I graduate from college. Growing up, I never had an exceptional work ethic. That all changed when I started running. Over the past two years I have run over 2,250 miles and ran in some of the most difficult conditions. I have run almost all hours of the day and I put 110% into every run, despite how I feel. I am an amazing teammate because I push everyone around me to be the best they can. Also, My former high school teammates receive my support on and off the field, by giving them car rides home after practices or going to meets to cheer them on. Track and Field and Cross Country are my number one priority besides school. I have missed hanging out with friends, ran on vacations, and have had multiple early mornings just to run. I also don’t drink, do drugs of any sorts and I eat extremely healthy. I am self motivated and disciplined to push the limits. I have found my passion. Running D1 is my goal and I am excited to have the opportunity to run at Queens University.
