Nathaniel Marks '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nathan Marks. I am part of the 2023 graduating class at West Stanly High School in Oakboro, North Carolina. I am interested joining a collegiate Cross Country/Track and Field team.

I run cross country and track and field (1600m and 3200m). Some of my best accomplishments to date are All-Region-Midwest 2A  in Track and XC (including Regional Champion in 4X800m) and All-Conference-Rocky River Conf. (multiple times) in cross country and in track. 

Last year my personal bests in track included 4:48 in the 1600m and 10:24 3200m. Year over year my 5K times have dropped consistently (my current PR is 17:42) and I expect much better times in all races this year.

My goal times for the upcoming seasons are: *5K- 17:20 or less, *1600-sub 4:30, *3200-9:50 or less.

My current unweighted GPA is 4.0 (weighted is 4.31).  My ACT score is 24. SAT is 1160.  My primary academic interest involve pursuing a degree in computer science.
