My name is Rylan Ellis, and I am a proud student-athlete at Northwest High School in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Balancing my passion for running with academic excellence has been the cornerstone of my high school journey, and I am eager to bring this same commitment to my collegiate experience.

Athletically, I have dedicated myself to excelling in track and cross country. Competing as a varsity athlete for four years, I have achieved a personal best of 2:07 in the 800M, 53 in the 400M, 4:49 in the 1600M, as well as 18:17 in the 5K during cross country. Each of these times reflects countless hours of training, perseverance, and the invaluable guidance of my coaches and teammates. Beyond the track, my role as a team motivator—whether hyping up our middle school cross-country squad before a state meet or supporting my peers during tough moments—has allowed me to foster strong relationships and demonstrate leadership both on and off the field.

Academically, I have cultivated over a 4.00 GPA while challenging myself with a rigorous course load, including AP Government & Economics, AP English Language, AP Biology, and many CCP classes. Recognized as a National Merit Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the Honor Roll, I take pride in maintaining high academic standards while balancing the demands of athletics. These achievements underscore my strong work ethic and time-management skills.

Looking ahead, I am passionate about pursuing a career in the health sciences, with a broad interest in the medical field, I am fascinated by the intersection of sports and health, particularly how targeted care can enhance athletic performance and overall well-being. My preferred fields of study reflect this passion, and I am excited to explore these areas further in a college environment.

As someone who thrives in teamwork, discipline, and academic inquiry, I am confident I can contribute to the success of a collegiate team while continuing to develop personally and professionally.
