Matthew Cooper '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Matt Cooper and I am presently a senior at Nordonia High School in Ohio. I plan on obtaining a degree in engineering.

I am a multi-sport athlete, with a specialty in track who qualified and ran in the Division I Ohio State track meet two years in a row.  I lettered in track (and swim) every year in which I participated in those sports, and I was named rookie of the year my Sophomore year for track (as that was the first full season I participated due to Covid).  

Additionally, I have a cumulative GPA of 4.03 and this quarter maintained a 4.2 GPA at Nordonia and was named Academic All-Ohio for multiple years.  In addition to qualifying for State in track, I also qualified for Districts in swimming.

My primary events are the 400 (or 4x4), 200 (or 4x2), and 100 (or 4x1).

I bring a very strong work ethic and believe I would be a valuable asset to your organization.
