2022 HighlightsTo be 16 years old and looking for colleges feels overwhelming sometimes. So many decisions must be made: which size college to attend, which academic and social cultures to look for in the college, and which major to study.
While these unknowns continue to bounce in and out of my head, I am aware of two certainties. First, I know that I like college classes. I have already taken four courses at Kent State and will take eight more before I graduate in 2024. Generally, I enjoy the college classes more than my high school classes. Second, I want to run in college. This year, I am running cross country and track for the third year. Running with my team especially helps me because I am an introvert, and I need the socialization that the sport provides. But most importantly, I feel whole when I run. Running provides the cadence and physical effort that moves me to experience a completeness. I love to run!
So while I may not be sure about college searches and decisions about majors, I am sure that I want to start college in 2024, and I look forward to running cross country and track for a university.
