Hello, my name is Joshua Holida, I am a 5’11”, 200 lbs. Junior I throw discus and shot at Willard High School. I will be a member of the 2019 graduating class. I currently hold a 3.54 GPA and enrolled in honors classes. Starting next year, I will be enrolled in the post-secondary college program. Currently I am interested in all schools that offer outstanding academic opportunities for me to continue my education and to play at the highest competition level possible.
I started throwing the discus in junior high where I learned the basics, and have since earned a starting roster spot on the varsity track team as a freshman. I recently took first place in the discus at the Northern Ohio League Conference meet, as a second-year thrower. I know by working with my coaches for the next two years of high school and attending throwing camps, I will continue to advance my throwing distance. My goal is to become a collegiate thrower. The only way to accomplish this goal is through hard work and dedication. I work very hard and dedicate a lot of time to becoming the best thrower I can be. I take practice time very seriously and treat every throw as if it's a competition throw. As a leader, I bring camaraderie and a solid work ethic to help the team continue a winning tradition.
